They want cake during a time when they’re not supposed to have cake.  That’s a joke.  Seriously though, Doug would try to abuse his powers.  It’s like an achievement or something.

It is true, actually.  When the floods came years ago the whole city banded together and quickly sandbagged it to safety.  Tragedy can bring out the kindness and humanity in people.  So of course Kyra will take the wrong lesson from this.  Quick, somebody point out that sports teams can bring whole cities together too.  Oh but then you’ll hate the other cities with the other teams.  Well … at least these sports will distract Kyra from whatever she’s thinking about.

The original idea for today’s coming was Phil going around telling everybody he had no time for them, he was getting married.  Luckily I remembered it was a Simpsons joke and made something original.  As if I didn’t have a hard enough time remembering if I’ve already made a joke myself, heh.

“Alright Phil, if Diablo 3 doesn’t connect by this afternoon, then I’ll head down there four hours early.  Will that make you feel better?”

Oh animals, why are you so cranky and scared?  You’re acting like Kyra is scary.  Oh wait, that’s how fear works doesn’t it. Perhaps it’s anger?  Maybe it’s jealousy?  Maybe it’s because Kyra is a really snappy dresser and just hasn’t realized it yet. I mean look at those birds.  How the heck are they supposed to put on trousers?  Oh maybe … we’ll find out later.

The day I looked my best?  Um, that time I absentmindedly washed my hair in the shower twice?

And you thought you could get a lot of sympathy from working on your birthday.

I’m always saying stuff like “it’ll be explained later” and “be patient we might find out.”  So to help hold you over, I’ll promise you that some things you might have always wondered about Kyra will be questioned in the next story.  We’re getting closer to some stuff happening.  Stuff always happens.

Also I drew a picture for Mother’s Day since it seems appropriate.  Sure I didn’t post it here until the day after, but there’s not many people on this site on Sunday.  Also Kyra has the weekend off.  And tablet PCs are awesome.
