Zombies need to assimilate brains – i.e. use the bits to replace the rotting bits of their own brains. Like putting on a replacement tyre. (That's one idea, anyway.) So I guess they might then take on the knowledge in the brain while they have it.
Well I guess zombies would have to be smart, I mean without smarts they wouldnt be reasonable and wouldnt tell the differance between brains and eyes
