Well bring out the cake and have punch for all, today my first webcomic Phil Likes Tacos turns eight years old. It’s been a lot of work to make so many comics for so long, and … what’s that? You say the first comic was posted on May 23rd 2002? Well true, it may say that on THIS site, but it’s not. For some reason the first comic won’t show up if I set it to May 22nd. And yes, I’ve tried many things but couldn’t get that working either.
Anyway, enough of that jibber jabber.
Honestly, I’ve been so focused on my “It’s a Dino” comic that I don’t know what to say here. I’m glad that I’m still producing comics for something I just threw out there in my spare time. And as far as I can tell they’re still just as good. I know I’ve gotten better at spelling, the characters are drawn better and have developed. I’ve even been trying some different things out this year, what with Phil having work problems and Doug going on his trip. Maybe big changes are on the way, maybe things will always be the same. Maybe I need another site redesign so I can get those next/previous buttons going the right way.
I see no reason to stop making this comic either. Some nights I just want to go to bed after working on my other comic all day. Kyra does have far more readers then Phil. But you know what? PLT has fans and I’m one of them. It’s so fun and simple I hope I can keep it up for a long time. This September will bring us our 3000th strip which is big. And it’s only two more years for this comic to make a decade. There’s not too many webcomics that last this long. But as long as you’re enjoying it as much as I am it’s worth it.
Plus I HAVE to keep making fun of those darn customers and bad employees. I mean, they really have it coming. Won’t you continue to join me in my mockery of them? Awesome.

8 years already? damn i wish i discovered PLT earlyer. To be totaly fair I like following the storyline of PLT more then Kyra. Maybe that is because it gets updated daily.
Anyways, keep up the great work :D

Been following PLT since it first started, plan to continue following it until either it, myself or the internet ends. Happy birthday, PLT!

PLT is still one of my favorite comics on the web. I wish I could say I’ve been following it since it started, but I’ve read the archives right through a couple of times, so that’s probably good enough. Here’s to another eight years!

And of course, happy one-year anniversary of Full-Time Ink. I completely forgot about that, despite it being only like 4 days after PLT’s anniversary.

That’s right, I forgot the exact date other then it was a little off. The site’s been going alright so far. I’m always looking for more readers, and there are a few odd items with the site I’m still trying to figure out, but I think it works pretty good for now. Stay tuned!
